"The demons cunningly withdraw for a time in the hope that we will cease to guard our heart, thinking we have now attained peace; then they suddenly attack our unhappy soul and seize it like a sparrow."
- St. Isaiah the Solitary
As the Associated Press has called the presidential race for Donald Trump, (with Kamala yet to emerge to offer a concession speech, at least at the time of writing this) I’m left with a huge shit-eating grin on my face. However I can’t say it’ll last forever, chasing a high from so many years ago will never be quite the same once you get a hold of it again. I sent my vote for Donald Trump during early voting, and if you include the primaries (and for the sake of disclosure) I have voted for Donald Trump six times now with this election being the last. I had voted for a bull in the china shop in 2016, thinking he would be safer in terms of foreign policy over Hillary Clinton, and my politics moved further to the right as I saw the bureaucracy, the media, big business, etc., rally against him and people who voted for him. 2020 of course happened, but we’ll get into that later on today.
And here we are.
The results as of this morning:
While the Spirit of 2016 crackles through the air like the spirit of radio did in 80s and the glass ceiling still stands without a crack, the nagging feeling of “I’ve been here before” lingers in my mind. Trump and his supporters have been called Hitler, fascists, racists, all the rest, and have seen conservative aligned businesses targeted, and any elite defections have lawfare and the like as Elon Musk and his companies have. Had the economic conditions been better, had the borders not been opened up for millions to pour in and to get better treatment than actual Americans, the constant preference for the foreigner over the citizen, the mandates, the inflation, all of it…this election could potentially have gone a different direction and this isn’t even mentioning the attempts on Trump’s life.
There are some key items as to how we got to here, in no particular order.
Biden dropping out of the race.
Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter (now X.)
Kamala’s poor quality as a candidate
Rampant inflation
Foreign Policy (Shipping Lanes, Israel, Ukraine)
Regime preference for foreigners
Lawlessness/Anarcho-Tyranny (Law and Order)
Open Borders - Every State a Border State
Countless more factors are included, but one thing that I think is really worth mentioning here is just how millennial coded this election was, especially for Kamala’s campaigns. From “Brat” to her appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” Podcast, her staffers going on TikTok to talk their “MAGA Uncles” as if they were literal preschoolers shows us that the mid-thirties schoolmarm schtick wasn’t going to sit well. Kamala was a piss poor candidate in 2020, and was already tied to an unpopular (and illegitimately elected) President Biden, and her lack of policy positions and presupposed “vibes” weren’t going to go far enough when the average person’s quality of life had gone down, costs have gone up, and the worship of lawlessness meant what they did have was very much at risk especially in urban areas. California has opted to be tougher on crime based on the results of Prop 36.
This is also the first time in twenty years that a Republican has won the popular vote, with George W. Bush’s reelection bid in 2004 being the last. The GOP’s efforts for Hispanic voters were achieved from a man promising mass deportations, and with comments about immigrants poisoning the blood of the nation rather than those advocating for amnesty.
Of course anything can happen, many of us are going to be looking at the Trump/Vance administration with a weary eye, in part because we have a previous term of Trump and his fights with the administrative state to work off of. I’m cautiously optimistic in part because there is a team in place, and has a firmer idea of what he’s up against. In the “Discourses on Livy”, Machiavelli explicitly says that if one must go to war then one must “Make a day of it.” Trump’s team needs to actually clean house, you don’t play ball and play nice with the people who tried to kill you, lied to you about the status of American troops in foreign lands, and have tried to jail you repeatedly. Eradicate them or lose, God doesn’t like the lukewarm or those who play pretend. Be Bold Donald, Be Bold.
However the Left will not go quietly into that good night, you don’t play the unity card after multiple assassination attempts, lawfare against conservatives, political prisoners being jailed for simply investigating into things like January 6th or the transgender industrial complex. The stakes are existential, and with the stakes being that high that was most likely the reason we’ve seen a burgeoning faction of elites go for the Trump camp simply because the current trajectory was not sustainable by any means. I am incredibly worried in part due to what’s happened since October 7th, 2023 that Trump’s camp will see a new wave of “Anti-Woke Neoconservatism”, or at least factions of the right going forward will have to deal with this. There will be an emphasis that is overly pro-Israel (and the more pro-Israel candidate just won the election) faction will be focused on the culture war battles of the day but will work to ensure their ethnic group gets their rewards for this patronage. The blatant anti-White messaging in college campuses came for Jewish students since the conflict started in Gaza over a year ago now, which has led to an explosion in interests from Bill Ackman and the like. I’d keep track of that as time goes on to see what they put forward now that Republicans have held the House, won the Senate, and the White House. I imagine we will see an increase of Indian representation behind the wheels of power in this administration, between Vivek Ramaswamy, Harmeet Dhillon and J.D. Vance (not to mention the tech sector,) America will see just like the rest of the Anglosphere countries a significant uptick in sub-continentals running or at least trying to run the show as powerbrokers in the party. This feels like a guarantee, but I hope it doesn’t come to fruition.
There will be #RESIST, there will be people who are angry about being fired from various departments, and perhaps there will be more attempts on Trump’s life. However the ball needs to get rolling on Schedule F firings and actually making sure deportations actually happen. My expectations are low, but given how much more established this election for Trump feels like (the paypal mafia, Musk, etc.) perhaps there is much more being established behind the scenes for what this potential realignment of politics will birth. Just from a national security perspective, with weakened supply chains and a lack of competency, America needs to be building at home and needs to be kicking the foreigners out.
There’s a lot that is important to cover, and plenty I will miss as this is just a quick-take I’m writing when I should be working at my government job (lol), but it behooves us to acknowledge that the winnings issues of this election were the economy and immigration, and the two are intricately linked. There will be fights over this, but deportation, remigration, it must happen. Failure to deport millions of illegals and reduce legal immigration must happen, failure to do so makes this pointless for the future of the millions of White voters who came out in droves to get him into office. Every staffer should have read The Unprotected Class: How Anti-White Racism is Tearing America Apart by Jeremy Carl, and the second order consequence is that the American Judiciary will be remade in the incoming Administration’s image for decades to come which is certainly hopeful for further right wing causes.
What I can say with any degree of certainty is that at best, we have bought ourselves time. Four more years to get your house in order, more money, land, networks, security, all of it. Whatever comes next, there is tons of work to be done to ensure further victories, and if there be losses then at least to move back into the bulwarks you have built and crafted with your fellow man. Enjoy the liberal salt, watch everyone show their true colors and be wary of those trying to slimily creep their way back into the movement or the right wing camp. However do not use the election as so many have, as a pressure release valve. There is a lot to be done, both individually and as a collective. Plenty of writers, posters, and ideas that have been propagated by individuals like Martin Sellner, Morgoth’s Review, Martin, have made waves in the campaign or have been mentioned by those thinking about how to govern this incoming administration.
As St. Isaiah the Solitary says above, keep yourself guarded for the enemy will be back at it again.
Lord Have Mercy On Us!
Our work and fight has only begun. Rest now lads but come next week its time to push hard. Love the article, you hit it on the head.
The 2016 and 2020 campaigns were much more Boomer-coded than this time around. We saw Gen X and Millennials taking a much more active role, both politically and narratively. Typified by figures like Elon Musk(gen x) and JD Vance(gen x, on the verge of millenial). It shows that boomer truth regime doesn't need to be the center of politics anymore.
