Yes. We suffer from great spiritual struggle of living in an increasingly meaningless world. Not to say there's no objective meaning but we are less and less able to do anything that satisfies. In place of wives, our anti-culture offers pornography. In place of judging at the city gate with the elders, we get to add a Ukrainian flag emoji to our profiles. In place of hot fresh loaves, our society offers bug-burgers. ("If any of your sons asks for bread, which of you will give him a scorpion?") For as long as we must put up with it, this is a kind of ascetic labor, but I should like to be free of it all.
