Great post Prude. I've been an Orthodox Christian for 7 months now. I am amazed at the strength and faith I see in the members of my Church. Its nothing like the hyper-machismo I find in so many online Orthodox Christians. The dichotomy has always seemed strange to me.

Thank you for sharing this. The endurance of the saints and the suffering is such an alien concept in our culture. I appreciate being confronted with the goal that Christ lays out in front of us.
